Baseball requires perseverance and overcoming setbacks. Blaine Knight's story is a great example of resilience and teamwork. Our journey with Blaine, led by Will and our team in Little Rock, shows the transformation that comes with hard work and the right support. I'm excited to share this story of perseverance and drive, highlighting the group effort led by Will and our team in Little Rock to work with Blaine.
Former Arkansas Razorback standout, Blaine Knight, posted an impressive 14-0 record his junior season with a 2.80 ERA. Drafted in the 3rd round of the 2018 MLB Draft, Blaine eventually made his way to Triple-A.
Unfortunately, Blaine was released in March of 2023. Determined to reach his full potential, Blaine came to us in February of 2024 with a fastball sitting at 90-92 mph, convinced that he had untapped potential, particularly in his lower half.
Initial Assessment
Blaine's belief in his potential was confirmed during his initial assessment. While his delivery was well-timed, we identified the need to create more momentum down the mound. We tracked and measured his progress using key metrics on our mound:

After several months of targeted drills and bullpen sessions on the NewtForce mound, Blaine's numbers showed significant improvement:
Fastball: 93-95 mph, touching 96 mph

Player Velo: 6.23 mph
Y Back Score: 0.90 lb/lb
A New Chapter
On May 21, 2024, Blaine signed a minor league contract with the Philadelphia Phillies.
